I never remember in all these 50 or 60 years of knowing the name Skeeter Davis---ever hearing Any bad scuttle-butt about her. She was a class act and great lady.

The movie was based on the book by the same name. Although, the theme had no words, the song sticks in my mind as a strong memorandum to an adolescents's dreams. One of the first movies about teen pregnancy and I was a blooming teen. I don't thing it is a "male" movie.
