A Ska version of Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit"
The only horn I had access to at the time of recording was a bari sax, so there's 3 layers of bari in there, and the trumpets are synthesised (I can't play trumpet)

NOTE: I know this technically isn't ska, it's more based on the ska-punk style of bands like Reel Big Fish and Mad Caddies

I'm no Nirvana fan. I am a massive ska fan and tend to think most songs done as ska versions sound great. This however, is truly horrible. It's the vocal track. It just doesn't fit within the mix. Not sure who mastered the final track, but it is pretty damn sloppy.9 years ago

hasta para hacer un cover, se debe tener creatividad y no hacerlo tan simple... no desde un teclado que te hace la mezcla de todos los intrumentos base del ska y el ritmo, lo único que percibo de instrumento "real" es el saxofón... escucha LAMBADA DO SKA de INSPECTOR... es un cover de la famosa cancion de los 80's LAMBADA... y entederás lo que te digo!!! saludos9 years ago

Interesting cover. Nothing beats the original, but these guys did a decent job at making it ska. Not a huge fan of ska, but hey, others are. I am in no place to downgrade this. At least it's not dubcrap.10 years ago
