I think this is from 1989, a very young and sweet Sissel Kyrkjebø performs Somewhere at the United Nations benefit "Our Common Future". Sadly I had recorded this at the end of a vhs-tape, so her second performance (of Vestland, Vestland) is cut off from the beginning :crying: But thankfully Somewhere is complete!

This was a song composed after Bobby Darin had died. Bobby was of Portuguese/aboriginal birth. He followed the rules of aboriginals in the USA to walk on the dark side of the street so that those wonderful white Christians could walk in the sun in the morning & in the shade in the afternoon. He, like many aboriginals were not allowed into restaurants, grocery stores & cities like Chicago.
