I have to agree with one of the other posters. After the Ailyn/Monika Pederson saga with Sirenia, I lost interest in the band. If they kept to their older style, the vocals wouldn't have been a problem...but everything changed. I think Ailyn is more fitting with her pop/anime music style (Yeah, I listened to her early work. I'm open minded, so sue me) but I think she has an interesting pitch. Same with Monika Pederson, her work with another band was more interesting than her time wit Sirenia

Last I checked she never claimed to be a metal head. Do you actually know how she got chosen for the band? She joined/subscribed to them on Myspace during the time they were looking for a new singer without even realising what she had done. She just happened to know them through her sister. I love metal but one thing I can't stand is people like you who judge other people based on assumptions and appearances. You probably think Tarja is metal too amirite? (Please god say no.)

@AmeliaMarina Thank god there is some one else who still have EARS! haha! The saddest thing is that this is my favorite song, hearing it with Aylin...eww...just ruined my memory of this song with Fabienne or Henriette.. haha I just dislike Aylin very...very much....she seems what in my country call "a poser" she is all image and not talent...at least that is what she seems to me.

@Traigame2cervezas I agree... i do not like them with Ailyn and i would never pay to see them... they just happened to open the show for Katatonia!! i wrote a review back then.. about the show! and about how disappointing it was to experience this Sirenia concert! but i can't post the link here...

@AmeliaMarina between Henriette and Fabienne there is not much difference, but yeah, "An Elixir for existence" it's my gem...along with "At Sixes and Sevens", they both are great, that's the Sirenia I refer to...no to this...thing...not mean to offend anyone, but...this is just not enough to me....
