Yeah,I adore Tristania :) But it's so called ''beauty and the beast'' gothic metal,and there are goth metal bands like Tiamat,more simple kind of goth metal,closer to the real goth sound.Like Sisters of Mercy in metal way xD

Well they do share some elments though..like the operatic voices,choirs,female singers,growls and classical elements like violins. But the trademark of gothic metal is that is sounds so dark and ghostly,and sounds misterious and like horror. I think its beautiful,true gothic metal is awesome. Of course there arent many who do it right,id say the few pure gothic metal would be Tristania,The sins of Thy Beloved,Trail of Tears,(old) Sirenia& Elis. Beyond the Veil-Tristania is goth metal perfection!

Yeah. haha it seems like im speaking nonsense but I was replying to ( at the time when youtube didnt say who youre replying to) someone that was saying stupid things about Nightwish and CoF..when it didnt even had anything to do with Sirenia.

Yes,Cradle of Filth actually is much heavier. and thats a fact. and no I dont mean to say theyre better than Sirenia,both are equally awesome. But Cof is like waay heavier and more brutal and not only because of Dani's screams and shrieks..but I mean they have lots of blast beats..and super fast..sounds like youve never listened to the song Gilded Cunt..or the album Darkly Venus Aversa. Cause Sirenia isnt even close in heaviness to Cof..really.

People think Nightwish are posers? Pffffft! They're probably the truest of the true. Tuomas fired Tarja from his band because she turned into a gold digging diva (thanks to her husband) who could care less about the music.
