Sir Mix-A-Lot from Seattle, Washington is one of the first MCs to put the Pacific Northwest on the West Coast Hip-Hop map. He put out a string of hits from the late 80s through the early 90s such as

'Square Dance Rap', 'Rippin', 'Posse On Broadway', 'Iron Man', 'Beepers', 'I Got Game', 'My Hooptie', 'Baby Got Back'(which won the Grammy in 1993), and 'Put Em On The Glass'. He put out six albums between 1988 and 2003. His records showcased his West Coast lyrical flavor backed up by Bass driven beats.
