SONG/VIDEO - Simon Le Bon and Dolores O'Riordan - Linger (Live - for the children of Bosnia 1996)
Pavarotti & Friends: Together For The Children Of Bosnia is a 17-track live album featuring Simon Le Bon, released by Decca on 2 April 1996.
About the album
The album was recorded on the 12 September 1995 at the Pavarotti & Friends concert held in Luciano Pavarotti's own home town of Modena in Italy. The show's venue was the Parco Novi Sad, which is set in beautiful surroundings and was attended by a number of various luminaries including Princess Diana. The event was a charity concert organized by Luciano Pavarotti on behalf of the children of Bosnia & Herzegovina to further increase the funding for War Child's projects at the Pavarotti Centre in war-torn Mostar.
The concert featured a full orchestra backing and after each guest had performed, Pavarotti would appear on stage to join each in a duet, which included a performance of "Ordinary World" sung with Simon Le Bon. The album also features a live version of the Cranberries song "Linger", sung by Dolores O'Riordan from the Irish band with Le Bon.
