I remember I was coming back from the beach with my family and it was already getting dark. My dad went ahead and turned the radio on and looked for the local station that played classic rock. This song came up, and I was mesmerized. That was when I decided to find the greatest hits from these two guys, Simon and Garfunkel.

Jesus, some people are idiots. The lyric that says the signs of the prophets are written on the subway walls and tenement halls and echo the sounds of silence, just means that those who are enlightened will never be important and will never be heard. And that's the way it will always be.

I see it different. Ten thousand people may be more - the poor that we do not listen too leave their message of poverty on the walls. We hear it but do not listen we talk but do not speak of the problem - No one Dared. The flash of light that blinds - realizing what it going on but not able to speak about it to help. Trying to help but not able to teach them. Because we are not listening to anything any more we are turned inward. Just a thought.
