it really sounds like a simon and garfunkel tune, even though paul recorded it after they split. everything about it says simon and garfunkel...even the title. and art loved it.

Paul is at his best when he is with Art and vice versa. The greatest duet of my generation.

I love everything Paul has recorded, but I'm glad S&G did not perform a bunch of Simon's solo stuff for this tour. They chose probably the two best songs from Simon's solo career for this tour ("Slip Slidin' Away", my favorite song of all time, and "American Tune").

Pavlina: I can't recall Mr Cellist's name, but I know he plays a mean guitar in 'The Afterlife', another exquisite and funny song from the evergreen Paul Simon. I came across it on vevo. The group is recording a rehearsal. It blows me away, everytime I listen to it. Like all garfunkel simon songs have been doing to me for decades. Happy goosebumps!

Art Garfunkel still has one of the greatest voices in Music. Would be great to hear a duet with him and Colin Blunstone.

1) The way they sing the words "American tune" amounts to Pythagorean most beautiful harmony out of the discordant. 2) Before that, in the interlude, the listener can be stunned by the moving seconds which belong entirely to the cellist: Is his name Mark Stewart?
