Relistened about 20 times and I withdraw my previous statement. Garfunkels voice is manipulated. Apologize for being wrong AND an ass!

I have used the autotune product on a few projects, and the give away here is how you can hear it glitching on Garfunkel's voice. It isn't really "my" insinuation, but a broadly based opinion being expressed here. But of course there is no evidence other than the sound.

It doesn't sound "exactly like autotune". What you are hearing are the two voices together causing some harmonies to be accented, thanks to the similarities of their voices (I hear what you hear, but it isn't autotune). Compare to the previous video with Sound of Silence and Bridge Over Troubled Water. I also own an EHX V256 vocoder which works as an autotuner, so I'm not pulling arbitrary claims out of my ass. Considering all of the above I find your insinuation extremely unlikely.

Great argument, filled with all the evidence to refute the opposite viewpoint. Well done!

That word is pretty high on your list of insults. I see you use it a lot. Thanks for sharing.

Again, if you know what reverb is, you should know that reverb doesn't change the sound of any vocals/guitars etc. If you turn on reverb on your guitar amp, you will have the same sound as you had before, but there's a kind of echo. Hard to explain how it sounds. But I believe there's either pitch correction or slightly autotune.

I think Art's voice does sound a bit artificial. I've heard he completely wrecked it from smoking both cigarettes and weed, whereas Paul Simon quit both years ago and has retained his voice.

I hear autotune.

It isn't the sound of their voices or the tuning that's in question. It's whether or not they needed help to make it happen. Unless Art Garfunkel has learned how to glitch his vocal chords exactly like autotune, then this is autotune.

I think you are wrong. That sounds exactly like autotune. You can hear it glitching!

Man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest! ;)

Yep, the dude at 2:05, standing behind the guitarist, is definitely playing a theramin, you can see him and the theramin. And again at 2:22 view from behind. Is the pedal steel sound coming from that electric guitar? Guitarist must have some effects going on as it's not a pedal steel guitar. Nice combination of steel-guitar + theramin sound. Reminds me of Brian Wilson combining instruments on Pet Sounds.

Indeed! It's so obvious. But Simon & Garfunkel is still the best.
