NOPE. BTBAM were around befor sikth.Im from NC so they're like local heroe to me(as well as the old band they're members were in like Azazel and Prayer 4 Cleansing). They were doing the progressive/math death metal/ metalcore thing way before it blew up so big. Next thing y'know you'll try to say Sikth did it b4 Dillinger. Sikth is awesome and I can understand if they're your fav band, but they were definitely not the first to play this style. They're one of the best,but nowhere near the first.

Kinda prog, kinda death metal. Sikth are cool. Saw these guys DJ ing in London, it was all hardcore death metal. I didn't like it that much at the time but I love it now!

I am pretty sure the song Zyglrox by Periphery was inspired by this song, atleast the intro. The first 6 notes of the second tapping/legato riff are exactly the same as the first six notes of the tapping in Zyglrox's intro, just a half step down, because of a slightly different tuning (the upper string half step up, and the rest a half step down). Also the chorus of BSB is played kind of the same way as the Zyglrox intro. I asked Misha about it on his formspring, but he refused to answer, haha
