The video really makes me sad. As a skier it makes me think about how the climate is changing 'cause of us. We don't realise that just because of us, even the most simple and stupid thing, like playing in the snow, will be gone forever. Here there are ashes,I gusss from an erupting volcano, but the idea is more or less the same: pollution and a reflection of the joy there used to be.

For some reason this song feels like a mixture of both melancholy and beauty, or perhaps it'd be better to describe it as a beautiful melancholy. I can't help but feel slightly sad and hopeful at the same time. It's just one of the reasons why I find Sigur Ros' work so genius.
