I got to see them last September in Toronto with Unexpect. One of the best shows I've ever been to. Can't wait for their new album "Scenes From Hell" coming out this year.

I guess it is a matter of luck, and also the fact that I'm not updated much about England is because it's not quite so cheap to get to from my situation. Shame. I do hear great stories tough, Despair in the Womb

Exactly, you catch the drift. Hence why it's my No. 1 favourite band, too? Looking around, people seem to make so much fuss about what genre this band is.. and then start to try and redefine what the genres mean. Avant Garden is just simply set, experimental. Working with different ideas and sounds that are less common in the music industry, trying out new and extroardinary things to redefine the new standard of music. Not all of it be so succesfull =p but it's a valiant effort

Let's first try and lure them out of the country, then we'll talk about their setlist =p I mean seriously? I know holland is small, but I don't think they play outside of asia and america. And I'd really want to see them live.

Heh I think I understand what you mean. Only explenation... they are more fan of the music then the band. They found this new style that they enjoy, and want it to be persistent throughout the rest of their work... forgetting just how much experimenting and thinking out the box it was to get to that point. And with such a big thinking band, they will always want to break new boundaries and follow their own path, free artists so to say.

I don't see "Hangman's Hymn" getting critisized that often.. but maybe I just overlooked it. Fans that critisize this think it's because of the whole lap in style. It's no black metal, and less in their tastes. Who can blame them? Big fan tough, and this one, altough different and less played, is still classic ^_~ Own nearly all the albums!

i havent seen much lives from sigh but i find that live arent that great... i guess because there is so much goin on in the music so its hard to play live....but i think mirai should hire some standins for extra keyboards and stuff..to let mirai focus on singin(or belching!!) did they ever play any out of this album live?

Actually most of the time Dr. Mikannibal was singing but the saxophone was mostly used to replace other brass instruments but there are quite a few songs with saxophone on the Hail Horror Hail through Imaginary Sonicscape.

ha i got into sigh after hearing their first album "scorn defeat" i was atracted to their unusual style and "suicidal Lyrics" (well thats most of japan for ya) anyway the "underproduction" of this album is typical of sigh an makes it sound just like metal should! i say this all d time but i liken this to king diamonds abigail album .... those critics obviously dont listen to b.metal, since low sound is d norm! and every instrument can still be heard clearly! Fuck'em!

Best avant garde metal band ever, in my opinion.

Kids these days, everyone dislikes this album cause they are all got into Sigh from listening to Hangman's Hymn (myself included)and then they are completely thrown off by this album. Though critics seem to say that the production value is horrid, but I don't see where that comes from.

Yeah, this is a great album (Though my favourites are the Hail Horror Hail - Imaginary Soniscape albums. I don't understand why everyone dislikes this album so much.

I would have liked to have heard In a Drowse live now that they have Dr. Mikannibal playing saxophone. Oh well, it was still a great show!

One of my favorite songs from my favorite band! It's a shame they aren't playing anything from Gallows Gallery on the tour...although with all the stuff that's going on within these songs I bet its damn near impossible to replicate any of these to justice live. Many thanks for uploading this fantastic piece!
