@spiff10009 i wouldn't go that far...okkervil river and shearwater have completely different musical goals. okkervil river is hyper-literate and more pop-rock oriented while shearwater is going for a lush, natural sound; the lyrics merely reflections on their ethos. don't get me wrong. i love both bands...but one is no more talented than the other...they're equally gorgeous, albeit in different ways.13 years ago
