@passionatearts I think I agree with you. The drums in shearwater songs tend to be a bit to stiff and boring. Everything else kicks ass tough so I still love them :)

@passionatearts This all started when Sheff left and Meiburg took over the band. Shearwater started having a much bigger, more orchestral sound after that. Then again, what do you expect from a drummer named Thor?

@passionatearts I share your experience of having 'discovered' Shearwater recently. I don't share your opinion on the drums for multiple reasons, but I guess it all boils down to taste in the end anyway!

This is the release I am most anticipating...I came in with Rook, was floored and sought out all the previous stuff. Amazing work. If you have never heard Talk Talk and you like Shearwater...you will like Talk Talk (possibly all but the first album).
