Those are all classics in the game and all, but I'm surprised that you'd not like the beat with that kind of background. I grew up on the same and 2Pac, Busta Rhymes, The Dayton Family, Brotha Lynch, etc, and that's one of the reasons I love Shai so much. This takes the hip hop genre and points it at the cross, and it's fantastic.

Compared to kanye the music is a little corny, but I think we need to focus on the important in christian music. I leave my stylistic preferences at the feet of the cross because in the end they will be rubble and ash. I use to be a music snob that looked down on christian music's corniness and when God saved me I think I was able to see the music for the truth it expressed.
