I love this song so much! <3 It is making me cry today when you go into the screams for some reason . . . too many years of pent up pain and frustration I guess. :-(Anyways, I noticed that the lyrics printed in the description have several errors, most importantly at the very end where the "me" and "you" didn't get reversed.Thanks for being kick ass, awesome and beautiful!

I happened to look up an old musician friend on Facebook the other day and I noticed that he was playing in a new band. No big surprise because he is a phenomenal guitar player! What DID surprise me though was the name of his band, the type of music they were performing and their stage appearance.You see, prior to this he was in a great band in another state and played some amazing, kick-ass hard rock! Not the “screamo, death metal or black metal” stuff, but something like the band Seether. Maybe a little harder. Man, those guys were good! The lyrics were incredible, their melodies just punched you in the face and their stage presence was cool too. They just looked like REAL rockers! No neck ties, no vests and no Wing-tip shoes. You know...that...Bruce Springsteen, accountant look? Yea... the... "I'm no rock star" look. Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with that look, unless you are on stage, performing with a REAL rock band. And I don’t give a flying flip at a rolling doughnut HOW good or HOW successful you are because if you look like that and you think you have the rock star image down... and there are people who think you are “cool"...then you AND those people...desperately need a lesson in “rock image.”Anyway, what just killed me about my friend and his band is MUCH worse than the vest/tie/Wing-tip getup on stage. SO much worse.You see, he decided to give the “scary band” sound a try. You know, the typical “we are SO frightening” type of band. The band that thinks they are so “dark”, so “gloomy” and so “gothic-based” that they must have a name like...MORTIMUS ANGUISH, ZANDORA, ALGONQUIN’S REVENGE or DARKNESS OF SORROW.Oh, please... spare us the fright!And of course there are prerequisites to constructing a band like this! Yes, indeed!First of all, you have to have extremely shitty songs with lyrics that need to be gargle-screamed or even mumble-yelled, for fear the audience may actually understand them! Heaven forbid! (Or should I say, “the pit of Hades forbid?”)Oh, and don’t forget the bald bass player! The short guy who bobs his head up and down to the beat of each song, but pretty much doesn’t do anything else.Oh, and the “singer!" He has GOT to put a foot up on his monitor every once in a while, grab his mic with two hands and belt out those indecipherable lyrics just like every other singer in that genre!Now that I think about it, there is also a band member with some sort of...braided beard or hair! AND...SHORTS! Someone in the band, other than the drummer, MUST wear shorts. Preferably the bass player!Have I forgotten anything? Hmm...Wait! All of the songs must sound like every other “dark and foreboding” band, too! Don’t try that originality, uniqueness and one of a kind crap in a... “Xylethon Dragoons” band! No, don't do that!Geez, I almost forgot that the drummer has GOT to use MORE DOUBLE PEDAL than ANY OTHER drum, in every song. Yes, even more than the snare!What else? Of course!... I forgot the “devil connection!”In these “Hellions Of Hexadon” bands, you have to have a “winged creature” if you will... or a “symbol of evil” or an image of “a dark lord” of some sort. Yes, and lots of fire, brimstone and images of a lake of fire! Yea, got to have at least one of those! Those are necessities when trying to convey an image of “darkness and evil” even though the band members are gardeners, construction workers, Starbuck’s janitors or shoe salesmen. Hey, don’t laugh! Part-time Hessians are still Hessians! (Right?)Believe it or not, with all of this effort...the songs, the image, the name and the all the rest...sometimes, it just isn’t “depressing” enough. So what’s a bunch of medieval-loving, doom and gloom minstrels supposed to do to stir up the fear and anguish from the crowd that they need, to be considered, “shadowy figures of portent?” (Portent means: “Warning, foreshadow or omen.”)*Don’t worry, the band doesn’t know what it means either.)AHA! TONS OF MAKEUP! THAT’S IT! They will WEAR GALLONS OF MAKEUP! That will get you to believe that they have mystically tapped into an aphotic, atramentous and cimmerian malevolence! (Aphotic, atramentous and cimmerian malevolence means: “A dark, evil.”)*Don’t worry, the band doesn’t know what it means either.)And the more ridiculous the makeup looks, the better! Yes, I know, makeup has nothing to do with convincing you that they are truly execrable and rancorous. (Execrable and rancorous means: “Evil and repulsive.”)*Don’t worry, the band doesn’t know what it means either.)So, there you have it. It's rather sad, really.My friend has capitulated. (Capitulated means: “Given in, surrendered, knuckled under, caved in, succumbed, yielded, quit.”)*Don’t worry, my friend doesn't know what it means either.)
