James, those instruments you heard at the end are called matepe. They're a type of mbira (thumb piano) from Zimbabwe. You couldn't really hear their melodies though, because of the organ being played over them. That was sampled from an old field recording of the highly venerated matepe player Saini Ngafangandiwe Murira along with his ensemble in his village. This is why I believe EWF should someday record an album with musicians within the Zimbabwean mbira community to show the kalimba's roots.

Satanists? (chuckle) Child, you either need enlightenment, or you didn't pay attention in English Composition class. "See the light" is symbolism for having faith in God. In the time you took to type the wrong answer, you could have at least Googled the lyrics for better understanding & shown a comment with some semblance of depth & intelligence. Instead, you have garnered an absolutely absurd conclusion devoid of explanation...or reason for that matter. Help this child....See The Light

True that.

No. Thank Maurice White for EWF.

I don't know. It doesn't seem like a song that would fit Nas' usual mood. But if he just sampled small sections, it could be pretty awesome.

Nah, He tweeted it :D But it could be cool if he did spit over this.

Did he sample it? If so, in what song?

Bold Love, Much Peace and Love to you. I dont believe this song to be satanic. It speaks of riteous love toward one another for all people of good will. They do not name the source of the light, but I think most would assume they are speaking of the Almighty Gods light. I really think this song is coming from a very hip place spiritually. Peace and Good will always. We share the same spiritual lineage. The lineage of Abraham. We are cousins.

EWF has always been one of my favorite pop, rock, soul, R&B bands (they did ONE disco song and should NEVER be branded as Disco, BTW). This was kinda what they were all about. But in the 1980s there were several religious factions trying to destroy what EWF wanted to do, and that was open the ears to everything. I felt for the young, they did a good job of it. Nothing bad about it at all or Satanic. It's all good, and maybe that's why people had/have a problem with them.

That's just it. One must be careful. The Scripture say that the Evil One aka Satan can appear as an angel of light. That's why we are to test the spirits to see if they are of God. 1 John 4:1
