This view of the Festival and of Country Joe & The Fish comes closer to summarizing my experience as a 16 year old kid. The entire time was educational and influential. That was such a dose of music and life, it really made a difference in me. Been playin' since then. Also - "Section 43" has been a favorite since I first heard it.

My dad and I were watching the blue ray of the whole concert last June and the things that stood out for me were janis's performance of ball n chain, Ravi Shankar, and these guys (I'd known about Hendrix and the who's performances ages before). But I remember hearing the quiet part and almost crying because it sounded so beautiful. It was very nice to hear on a hot summer's night at like 1:00 in the morning.

That Vietnam song kept me from listening to Country Joe for decades. But this song and a few more prove that Joe was not just sinfging silly anti-war chants for the lackeys. He had a few good ones. This is one.

yes, because of the footage i love these recordings much more! The music at its own is beautyful, but to see so many lovely people in one place, happy and peacefull at the same time, its the best revelation

when you once heard Country Joe and the Fish in Monterey 67, you can!t forget that. But i am a little bit disapointed about the fact, that there was no advancement in this kind of music from the members of the Band. This song stands for its own, that is a fact and it makes me happy, every time i hear it, and especially that here is a response on that
