You have to hear Patti Austin's "Street Of Dreams"! From the 1999 alvbum of the same name. Updated to these times but playfully, musically an ode to a different day. :) I've heard Sarah (my soul!) & Rosie Clooney do the song, among others but it's not an easy tune for vocalists to GET mentally to deliver effectively. Patti's version is the best I've heard so far.

I almost got to see this Divine Lady back in 1955 when she was scheduled to appear at the Lackland Air Force Base officers' club. Unfortunately she had to cancel. I was a very heart-broken college girl. She will always be "The Divine Sarah" to me. Green Dolphin Street is one of my very favorites of her renditions. Street of Dreams the other. None Better!
