"Don't worry 'bout meI'll get alongForget about meJust be happy my loveLet's say that our little show is overAnd so the story endsWhy not call it a day the sensible wayAnd still be friendsLook out for yourselfThat should be the ruleGive your heart and your loveTo whomever you loveDarlin' don't be a foolWhy do we cling to this old faded thingThat used to beSo if you can forgetThen don't worry 'bout meWhy should we cling to some old faded thingThat used to beSo if you can forgetThen you don't worry 'bout me"

Have listened to a lot of versions and while I never believe in competitions.. each version being valid in itself and enjoyed on its own terms... but Billie Holiday has the definitive rendition to this beautiful song...

@alicetiner I used to knock Lady Gaga too, however I'd never heard her. then, cayghtvhervon a duo show with Tony Bennett doing Lady is a Tramp and found her to be a totally swinging charming cat.

Thanks so much for posting. Just for the record (no pun intended), this is Teddy Wilson's "Octet" (not "Quartet"). :)

How in the heck did we ever make room for rap or hip hop? What a shame!

la musique n'est pas un terrain de chasse c'est un des rares présent de partage que possède l'humanité arrêtons la publicité scandaleuse ! ecoutons des artistes et ouvrons nos oreilles au coeur des besoins et souffrance de vie de l'humanité entière

Wonderful, of course. You ought to also enjoy Jack Sheldon's rich version of this tune. Different vocal instruments and eras but same heart.

@renegade687 try not to trouble yourself thinkin why more people don't listen to this. they'd call it pop if they did and it would be a song by lady gaga.. :) we're just a a fine handful here i guess.
