I've got the same one, picked it up from a hip hop record store in Melbourne, for free! as it wasn't in a sleeve and is a bit bung up. It is one of my all favorite records (that I own...). Such a beautiful mix of reggae and soul. :) - Also, I DJ often, and have played it out a lot, closing sets and in the earlier moments of a night.

definitely not... the original sam cooke track is at a very different tempo, and to match both the tempo and pitch so well, modern computer editing is necessary. Someone released a couple of these from the UK in 2005 with labels on the 45s that were made to look very similar to the old Studio One imprint. Great stuff still!

It's a shame Sam was taken from music so soon... he would've eventually acquired that Beatles, Rolling Stones, Elvis fame. Sam Cooke was/is simply the greatest vocalist and there wasn't a thing he couldn't sing. May the soul of the greatest musician truly rest in peace.
