Mew es una banda de rock alternativo, considerado pop por otros, nacida en Copenhague, Dinamarca. Caracterizados por un sonido especialmente surrealista y canciones de tono abstracto, la agrupación ha recibido desde los últimos meses numerosos reconocimientos en su natal Dinamarca y recientemente en Londres, donde residen desde que iniciaron su contrato con Sony Music para lanzar su tercer álbum, Frengers (2003). Actualmente cuentan con cuatro materiales discográficos que ilustran su peculiar evolución a desde sus comienzos en 1996, a pesar de que ellos se consideran una banda desde antes de que cualquiera de ellos supiera tocar algún instrumento.
