A fine actor but couldn't sing terribly well - at least he had some hit records and with his limited vocal ability I'm surprised he even had those - a sad shame how his life ended.

Hello Gina, just a few corrections to your posting below: According to IMDb Sal appeared in close to 50 TV productions, 23 documentaries and TV specials, and close to 30 movies spanning the early 1950's thru to 1976, the year of his tragic death. Not sure the source of your reference to their being lovers, but the final comment would have been impossible to have happened, as James died in a high speed car crash in 1955, and Sal was stabbed to death in a petty robbery 1975. perp convicted 1979.

Great old classic. Sal also appeared in 10 movies, and sang 8 wonderful songs.Too bad the killer of Sal was never found. He was so very close to James Dean. If you read about him online, you'll find he and James were lovers, plus best friends. James was heart broken over Sal's death.

On this day in 1957 {August 13th} Sal Mineo performed "Lasting Love" on the late Dick Clark's American Bandstand... One month later on September 9th entered Billboard's Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #27 and spent 10 weeks on the Top 100... Was nominated twice for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor; "Rebel Without a Cause" and "Exodus"... Sal Mineo passed away on February 12th, 1976 at the age of 37 {sadly, a murder victim}... R.I.P. Mr. Mineo and Mr. Clark...

Not familiar with this singer, must admit he is very good and worth listening to..to my ears he has just a touch of Ray Peterson to his voice. But he remains his own singer.
