I will definitely agree with the comment below and say YES Sammy is probably one of the better drummers in the world today. I don't even care about technical side, because there are guys who reached the point of having nothing else to learn (Minnemmann, Bozzio, Weckl, Colaiuta, El Negro and others), but the melodical and rythmical aspect of Sammy's playing can't be heard anywhere else. He is very original and it seems like he has his own dimension of playing the drums
