"Primo Victoria" is about the Operation Neptune, the landing operations of the Allied invasion of Normandy on 6 June 1944 (D-Day). It marked the beginning of the Operation Overlord, which aimed at driving the Germans out of Northern France and building a confirmed base.

The Operation Neptune was the largest amphibious invasion of all time.

The Words "Primo Victoria" are Latin and mean "the first victory".

CAUTION!

I won't tolerate any racist, discriminatory or in any other form inappropriate comments! This song neither glorifies war, nor National Socialism, but should be considered as a historical work.

"No, we don't glorify anything, we just tell stories about things that have happened." (Rikard Sundén, founding member of Sabaton)

Please support Sabaton and purchase their current album Carolus Rex.

----------

Juni 1944 (D-Day).

ACHTUNG!

I graduate high school today, and it's fitting that it would be on the anniversary of D-Day. The "Decision-Day" of the war and of my life. Furthermore, I want to wish that all the men on all sides of the conflict who died rest in peace. Gone but never forgotten.

The Words "Primo Victoria" are Latin and mean "the first victory". Nope. Primo is dative in latin. So it means Victory to the First.

While I think the fact this video features the lyrics in both English and German should be celebrated, I'm generally curious. All you German Sabaton fans, how do you feel about it? Is it simply "let the past be behind us"-type feeling?

Operation Neptune was the Op launched by the Soviet Union 20-25 November 1942, encircling the Sixt Army at Stalingrad. Not D-Day. That was Overlord

This is how I remember history stuff: On the 6th of June, on the shores of western Europe, 1944: D-Day upon us. Never forget this date again.
