Vince Giordano and the Nighthawks [the band playing on this track] are now at Iguana [240 W. 54th St NYC] every Monday and Tuesday night ! [212 765 5454] They just finished 5 years with Boardwalk Empire and about to release Volume 3 of Boardwalk Empire series CD ! I requested this tune...they played it !

If it weren't for the ragtime orchestra, he would be booted off the stage.

I own too many LWIII albums to worry about verb tense.

His dad is! What do you mean was! He's still around and doing great.Long live the Wainwrights. I got up on an open top bus tour in Glasgow and which poster should I see there - Loudon Wainwright the 3rd. I wasn't there long enough to see Loudon Wainwright. He's certainly not 'long gone'. !

His dad was Loudon Wainwright III the folk\comic artist...had a hit in 1972 with "Dead Skunk (In the Middle of the Road)...he looks like his dad..maybe that is where you get it.

This is wonderful. I've heard that it was Paul McCartney's dad's fav. song and he played it on the piano. I'm going to take up piano playing again:)

Darn good. When a mere three-some minutes feels like many more, that's how you can tell it's quality: you just get lost in the song while it's happening.
