That's a very young Lennon Sisters with Thomas Mitchell and the snowman. This must be the late '50s.

This is being posted on June 7, 2014. The previous poster (Rossbach2) is, indeed, correct about spotting Thomas Mitchell as "The old gentleman working on the snowman" and also that "this film clip is earlier than 1965". The clip is, in fact, from one of the Christmas episodes of NBC's musical variety series (in color during the primarily black-and-white era), "The Bell Telephone Hour", which was broadcast from October 1959 to April 1968. Before the start of the first season in October, four episodes aired as monthly specials earlier in 1959, on January 12, February 10, March 4 and the April 9 episode, which included, among the guest stars, Rosemary Clooney and her husband Jose Ferrer (they were married from 1953 to 1962 and from 1964 to 1967). The clip above is from the first season's Christmas show, seen on December 18, 1959, hosted by Thomas Mitchell (the show did not have a regular host and each episode was hosted by one of the guest stars appearing that week). Also seen in the clip are regular members of ABC's "The Lawrence Welk Show", The Lennon Sisters, who are among the guest stars (which also included Howard Keel and Giorgio Tozzi) appearing in the December 18 Christmas episode.

The old gentleman working on the snowman looks like Thomas Mitchell (Uncle Billy from It's a Wonderful Life). However, Thomas Mitchell died in 1962. So, either this is not Thomas Mitchell or this film clip is earlier than 1965.
