Thanks for uploading. Even this little taste brings back memories of the greatest concert I have ever seen. The show I saw was at the Richfield Coliseum (that is no more), south of Cleveland with the three large screens and the show in quadraphonics it was truly amazing! The Radio Kaos concert (same place) I later saw was also impressive, but not on par with this masterpiece. Thanks Roger for your ingenuity and thanks again tpatgod2007 for uploading.

Why the hell did Clapton attend that one, but not the one in Lakeland FL the same year when his concert was the next night?  He's strong enough to do that....(in other words..I don't believe the Eric Clapton - Guitarist)  Though he did the album.

Thanks for posting! Though not the best recording nevertheless classic footage. This is the real version with Clapton playing lead guitar, which makes a world of difference.

Yes he did. However the lines prior to STOP appear on The Moment Of Clarity.

Didn't he recite "STOP" from The Wall?

Waters had actually suggested the idea to Pink Floyd. They rather decided to go with a different concept and went ahead to record The Wall. If you watch the movie, the scene when Bob Geldof is in the toilet reading from his book of poems, he recites some lines that would later make it into The Pros And Cons.

I think back then it was a case of him being able to hit the notes but not wanting to do it every night because of the toll it would take on his voice. This is only a couple of years after the recording of "The Final Cut" and a couple more after the "Wall" tour, and he had the notes in both instances. He probably just couldn't keep it up night after night, or didn't want to.

I wish he'd come out and admitted before they started the song that he was going to let a tape do some work for him. Something like, "I'm sorry folks, I just can't hit these notes anymore!" would have been just fine with all his fans. I would have thought it cute, really.
