'Angel Dance', the first single from Robert Plant's brand new studio album Band Of Joy

Band Of Joy is released on 13 September and is the follow up to 2007's Alison Krauss collaboration album, Raising Sand. The new record definitely has similar roots to its predecessor, but it's a slightly more bluesy affair and the onus is definitely on Robert Plant on this one.

"Rock God" or not, NO ONE should be allowed to butcher a Los Lobos song like that! Shameful!

To everyone commenting on the fact that "it's not Zeppelin." Yeah, that's the point. I mean I remember Led Zep I being released, but this isn't Led Zeppelin. It's new - what Plant is into now. Get out of the 70s. He has moved on and so should we. Or turn on the lava lamp, light the incense and listen to old records until we join Bonham. No thanks, I think this is remarkable music.

I'm 60 yrs old, saw Zep in their heyday, early 70s and still LOVE that great music. It is a testament to his talent that he can move on and enjoy making other genres of music and have a blast doing it. The bloke's in his 60s and has no one to answer to but puts forth to balance his fun with puttig out good music. I love country as well as early 70s rock, rockabilly, bluegrass and apparently so does Plant. This album has some excellent tunes on it. Kudos for the man enjoying his life!

when i compare such songs to stairway to heavens, black dog, immigrant song or no quarter, i feel very sorry for the level led zeppelin had dropped to. it's just a shame. better if people remembered them with their first six albums only.
