Listened to both versions but for some reason this one has a more distinct sound to it, even the part where CB comes in, this woman's voice is haunting the way she sings. Country Music is doing itself a grave dis-service but not promoting her, a very sad shame.

ladyredcyn, "People aren't ready for her"?? With a wonderful voice like this?? Apparently the Country Music Association agrees with you, as when was the last time you actually saw her sing "live" on one of their shows? I'm hoping that something will happen to propel her forward, so that the rest of the world can see what we have all this time. I think she could set the country music Biz on fire, but why would they let that happen?

dixibabe131, My opinion only here, she's not on country radio because she'd finally shatter that racist glass ceiling in country music, but sadly I don't think they're ready to let that happen. Notice they've NEVER yet let her do even one "live" remote sing on any of the 'CMA' or other country music award shows?? 'Good Morning America', 'Today Show', etc. have yet to feature her either. I think if 'Robin Roberts' gets her on 'GMA', she'd finally be on her way.

I love both versions! Rissi Palmer is great! She was the topic of discussion for my music class. My middle school girls were so surprised to see a young, fresh and new African American female country singer! They enjoyed her very much!! Much continued success to you Rissi! God bless you!
