Neu vom "Was die jungen Menschen heute für Musik machen"-Department. Dass eine Band wie #Rishloo kommerziell keine große Nummer sind, sagt einiges über die Musikindustrie.Dass noch mal jemand daherkommen und Emo-Kunstmetal in der Tradition von #Tool machen würde, ist nichts sehr besonderes aber *wie* diese Typen aus Seattle das machen, haut mich schlicht aus den Latschen. Das erregte Pathos in der Stimme hat man eigentlich nur Maynard Keenan und sicher auch noch dem dann aber schon eher ironischen Serj Tankian abgekauft. Aber Drew Mailloux scheint die Fallhöhe halbwegs egal zu sein und das ist sehr gut so, denn er schafft es tatsächlich, die Uhr noch ein bisschen mehr aufzuziehen. Mich überzeugt er an sehr vielen Stellen vollständig.Und dabei ist er nicht das interessanteste Kleinod in Rishloo. David Gillett ist viel mehr als ein aufmerksamer und talentierter Schüler von Tools Adam Jones: er ist bei aller technischen Ähnlichkeit ein eigenständiger Musiker, was man von virtuosen Gitarristen nur höchst selten sagen kann.Das bemerkenswerteste an Rishloo ist allerdings die Band als Ganzes. Ich habe lange nicht mehr so abgefeimt professioonelle Musiker so leidenschaftlich und energisch zusammenspielen gehört. Und sowohl Songwriting als auch Sound bieten eine Bandbreite und Qualität, die man im Zeitalter konfektionierter Produktstile leider nur noch selten hört.Unterstützen!

I have never ever ever listened or liked tool. So shut the fuck up about tool. These guys are a million times better, the words and guitar work is disturbingly mesmerizing and I believe they have a great future ahead of them

Yeah Rishloo is going to be the next Tool.. Im seeing them play again on the 31st at studio 7 in seattle.. Its gonna be amazing as usual.. The guitarist told me I was a really good drummer.. Said he never remembers drummers but that he remembered me =D
