Sophie + Andrew did a real good job of hiding their admiration for RT. Not. :-) Top bloke.

You patronising fucker, who do you think you're speaking to? A man with a talent and a conscience and a heart you could not even dream of you plastic bastard.

That tv programme wasnt cool enough for RT.

He is a stunning guitarist. A textbook example of a supremely talented guy utterly uninterested in fame and its trappings.

How extraordinary! RT suddenly turns 'Oops' into a quality song! Do you think the writers ever saw that much in it?

@oppie1945 AMEN! It is sometimes said that the word 'genius' is overused; genius, genius, ******* genius. There you go.

"i started my list in 1066" Richard is so dismissive of trends he can reach back a whole millenium.

Well at least the Brit presenters don't lose it over "to play us out" There'll always be an England.

If RT wasn't so self-effacing perhaps everyone would recognize his genius. It was nice to see, in Sophie Raworth, him being interviewed by someone who genuinely liked his music - so unlike the obnoxious Zenab Badawi.

Make sure you pick up 'Small Town Romance' his slightly obscure live album from the early 80's - literally lived on it for months on end.
