actually, ashcrofts solo stuff isn't that far removed from williams, listen to break the night with colour, that could easily be a williams song. However, williams isn't even in the same post code as verve era ashcroft.

@tugsy1305 they are both very talented male solo artists. both have had some cracking songs. robbie as had stuff like angels and feel and richard has had some good songs too. i guess you dont have to be a fan of both. i know a lot of robbie fans who dont really know richard ashcroft so i guess it can work the other way too. but both are a big part of my music life. i find many similarities between there styles and the passion for music they have. robbie and richard for ever! : )

remains baffled as to how Robbie Williams and richard Ashcroft can be compared. 1 was in/left then rejoined very successful boy band,the other is a world renowned singer song writer who gives u his soul on tap and never fails to deliver. comparing Williams to Ashcroft is like comparing shakin Stevens to elvis.
