a fly on my wall would be disgusted by it all

When writers Steve Kipner and Terry Shaddick voiced strong disapproval of Revolting Cocks cover of their song, Wax Trax (RevCos label) banned the track. Revolting Cocks would respond with the release a different, FAR less complimentary version evocative of the warped perspective of a violent sex offender.

Revolting Cocks would later cover Rod Stewarts Da Ya Think Im Sexy. When Stewart heard RevCos version (which easily trumped the original) he moved to have it banned. People close to Stewart reminded him of the Physical fiasco and any efforts to ban this cover were soon forgotten.

No Pain, Baby, No Gain! No Pain, No Gain!

Got this version on 12" single, apparently they released a very limited number between Chicago and Houston, plain white label even on the disk. I forget what was B-side. Brings back memories.

Ah, now this is the version I remember from when I was living in Boston in the early 90's.

I'm from Boston and I have a copy of this I bought at Newbury comics. It has a label on it that said only 666 copies printed. It's a white lable with the three cowboy heads on women's bodies stamped on the sleeve .

yea man, that was great to read... So many better bands in the 90s than Nirv. Imagine these hot trippy hipster chicks wanderin around with a Revolting Cocks T-Shirt... oh what paradise that would be.

I admit I like some of their new stuff, but it is definitely not the same. There is almost a synth pop style to their older stuff. Much more pleasant to listen to.
