Now there are a ton of shitty bands out there getting recognition, though it's a better time then ever to get recognized by making some good shit. Its like my dream to add to the pool of good death metal out there. Revocation is one of those bands doing something new, but not following any of the current trends. LoL, same with me I've been playing for 6 or 7 years now. I'm into Technical stuff as long as it's not just technical for the sake of being technical. I like it to be technical and have some kick ass headbanging riffs. Actually I live on the opposite side of the country as you which sucks. I live in Washington state. Today seems like the best time to start a band. There are a lot of cool bands coming around now that play in an Old School style.12 years ago

same here, I've been playing for about 5-6 years now. Good tech death that has some feel to it but also insane technicality like Martyr and Cynic for example is probably my favorite stuff. Nocturnus too, although Thresholds beats The Key by a longshot imo. I'm also probably the only one who thinks that too lol.12 years ago

Yeah I've been playing guitar for years. It's actually how I got into Death Metal. I first started listening to it because of the early 90's Floridian technical stuff. The more and more I got into it started listening to all of it and not just the technical stuff. Like you said "just because it's technical doesn't mean it's good or fun to listen to". Though I'm a huge fan of early Tech Death bands as well, one of my favorite pieces being The Key by Nocturnus. Great stuff.12 years ago
