Raf Montrasio was born in 1929 and he's a guitar legend in Italy.
He plays also mandolin, violin, piano and doublebass!
He's one of the fathers of electric guitar in Italy.
In the Fifties he toured all around the world with Renato Carosone (a very popular singer and pianist, who wrote the famous "Tu vuo' fa l'Americano").
They played a mix of swing, rock'n'roll, Neapolitan traditional music, etc. They were one of the best band in Italy of last century!
And they were the first pop group that played into Carnegie Hall of New York, in 1958!
During the 50s they had concerts with Nat King Cole, Joao Gilberto, and many others; and they played at 'Perry Como' and 'Ed Sullivan Show' too.
