This song reminds me of this. She sat on the window seat in the corner of the ballroom and pressed her forehead up to the glass. It was a refreshingly cool change from the warmth of the room, and she sighed in contentment. It was a perfect night. The city lights gleamed below her, and the sounds of strings and rustling gowns filled the air. She gently ran her finger along the windowsill. Finding the latch, she unhooked it, and the tall window swung outwards. She climbed up onto the window ledge and put her hands on either side of the open space before her. Her long, deep red gown rustled in the gentle breeze that softened the air around her. Her eyes closed softly and her lips rose in a tender smile. The music swelled and filled her ears and her mind. Everything seemed to move in slow motion. Vaguely, she heard people beginning to realize what she was doing. Someone shouted. She opened her eyes, looked up, and let go. She was flying. The air swept away everything and left only one thought in her mind; she was flying. She closed her eyes, and let the last memories she wanted to have fill her. She was free.

Why are we here?

My absolute favourite performance ever from Regina. I adore that section starting at 2:53 with 'You-ology, Me-ology, Love-ology, Kiss-ology, Stay-ology, Please-ology' . There's so much emotion in her voice it just about floors me every time I hear it. Major thanx to capnkoons & Henry L for this. It's awesome. :)

If I only had one chance to ever watch Regina perform, and I only get to choose one song, this would be it, hands down. Yep, I say that with conviction regardless of how heartbreaking it is to choose among her songs if need be. I mean, how can one not be moved by the profundity of this song? I'm hoping against hope that she will play this live in the future. :] Thank you Henry L, wherever you are. Capnkoons, I'll never ever fail to thank you whenever I've the chance to do so.
