It's such a gift to be able to write every single song to be an allegory.This is a song so deceptively happy but about something so much darker.It's about how in the 80's casual sex was such an epidemic the girl who's become a sex addict who just can't seem to get her act together. She tries to become a prostitute "with her slip shown a little" but the cars don't stop. "it's been a long time since before I've been touched/Now I'm getting touched all the time".Such a good song for something so so sad.9 years ago
