Country Guitar

Country music does these subject so well.Why do so many GOOD people get cancer? I rarely, if ever, hear about mean or bad people getting it. Anyway, such a sad song.

My great grandfather was diagnosed with esophageal cancer when I was little... he had it for almost a year and his full head of hair came out. He was my best friend... I am 12 now but I still miss him so much!

lost my grandmas sisters husband then his son 2 weeks later both from lung cancera few years later my grandmas sister got cancer again but the cancer did not have enough time to kill her but a stomach bleed caused her to vomit up blood and she bleed to death within minutes found out even if they got her to the hospital they couldn't of done anything to save her

omg sorry about your teacher an every one els my best friend sang this song at the talint show than half way in the song she ran off the stage because that day her 19 old brother died she went in to tears so i ran up to her and huged her felt so bad for her :[

I lost my husband to leukemia two years ago, the most terrible thing to watch someone die of, my world is lost with out him by my side we were together for six years and married for nine months and he left me, I miss him so much and relive those last few moments before he took his last breath!!!!

I lost my little Sister on Nov 27 2005 right when this song came out. I remember sitting at the hospital watching her fight. She was 21 she was diagnosed in September of 2005. She was scared to death. She had blond curly hair and it all fell out with the chemo she was on. This song will always be a song I listen to all alone just thinking of that nasty cancer that took her away. She was to be married that August. She was not scared when she asked to be taken off the machines because her organs were shutting down. She is the strongest person I have ever known!

i am currently fighting cancer. I have been fighting now for over two years and travel over 11 hours every few months to see if it continues to progress. Some days I dont want to keep going yet others I want to fight like hell. I get scared every time I get sick in not knowing if the cancer is getting the best of me. My sister has also had cancer. we have no contact her choice not mine. LIfe is really hard when you are fighting something like cancer and wonder if there will be a cure any time in your life time or not.I use to listen to this song all the time and wonder how a person could get threw each day knowing they have cancer. Now I am in that shoe. It is the hardest battle to stay positive in life. Each day I have to focus on what I have and not what I could have in life.I am so thankful I have my faith in GOd. That is what truely keeps me going each and everyday. I am thankful for each breathe I have and another sun rise to see and seeing another snow flake.

A friend of mine was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2009. Every time I hear this song I think of her. She is still alive today. My grandpa also had cancer at this time but sadly he passed away a few months after diagnosis.

One of my friends in high school was diagnosed with leukemia, and he started losing his hair around the prom. The entire graduating class donated hair to make wigs for the sick in his name. Lost a serious mullet, but it was worth it.
