It IS the intro of Nothing Else Matters, played as a little joke or tribute, before they start the other song, which is a Manowar cover. No ripping off, just playing covers.

Please note that Manowar's The Crown and the ring was released in 1988, and Metallica's nothing else matters in 1991. Aside from that, this is a great cover.

no ripping off involved, the intro nothing else matters is played open without even holding down a single note, because of this, a tuned guitar falling down a staircase can be said to be ripping off nothing else matters.
