Meisner has a golden voice, he was edged out by the Corp. Artists don't always jive together

Interesting: I think his vocal on this video was live, i.e. it's different from the recorded version.

He was so attractive and just such a pretty boy with a voice of an angel. I do love Henley's raspy voice and Frey's singing makes my heart melt but Randy could sing just as good. And his high notes (in Take It to the Limit) make me want to cry (not literally). He should be recognized more. He had so much talent.

I have heard this, probably on a radio program that catered to deep cuts & ballads. This was just wonderful. Thanks for posting this!

This was a nice find! Randy Meisner doing a solo album. Watched the Eagles doc from 2012 last night and was stunned by how Henley and Frey came across very egotistically and Randy has be be the sweetest and most laid back guy in the band. The history of the band sheds a whole new light on the members. I'm sorry Randy left so soon after Hotel California. His voice was priceless.

I read Don Felder's book and had seen him in interviews and he struck me as a reasonable human being. That said, I was willing to give "the other side" an opportunity to state their case in "The History of the Eagles." I was frankly dumbfounded, because if Messers Henley and Frey thought they were going to bolster their position vis-a-vis Felder, they sure have a weird way of doing it. If anything, they, but most especially Frey, come across as even bigger a-holes than Felder depicted in the book. It was scary the way Frey would describe how he did this and that thing, obviously thinking that he was in the right, and he just kept digging the hole even deeper. I can't believe they even released it, save the fact that they no doubt made a boat load of money from it. At some point, I guess greed overcomes common sense. I honestly don't think Henley would be nearly that problematic with regard to a rapprochement with Felder, but Frey is a deal breaker from the get go. I'm afraid I'd have punched his freaking lights out for far less than what he himself describes regarding his behavior.

This album is my favorite of all the solo output from any of the Eagles. Unfortunately Randy's other solo albums didn't reach the level this one did.

This live version is really good, close to the original recording.
