I believe the song (and the video) are about depression and how it's a constant cycle of self-fulfilling prophecies that feed into those negative delusions and exacerbate the problem. It's why depression is a disorder and a big problem in society. The video showcases this nicely. The people walking the sidewalks are fine, but the man who lies down is depressed, and there's nothing they can say to him to make him feel better. They "just" don't understand what he's feeling; why he can't be like everyone else. The ending is an artistic way of showing what would happen if the depressed man was TRULY able to translate what he is feeling to everyone else. It's something we obviously can't do in real life (to encapsulate why we actually feel depressed and how it makes us feel in words), but this video shows just how debilitating depression can be, and when the man on the ground was finally able to show them what depression meant, everyone else laid down as well (they felt depression). I used to think this video had some sort of grand underlying meaning, but over time I've realized that it has a very grounded, human message about understanding the scope of mental disorders. It's very beautiful.

I 'Just' don't get it. Why is he laying down? Maybe people 'Just' need to forget about it. Maybe there's a real message to the video. I know it's 'Just' a video, but if you ever do find the answer, as Thom says, "You Do It To Yourself", With the phrase "And That's Why It Really Hurts" following it. And I may 'Just' be a random person on the internet, but i might have 'Just' found the answer.

B) Your telling us that we're not intelligent if we can't lipread what he is saying yet you don't know the grammatical difference between "wait" and "what". C) The point of the video is to not know what he's saying and thus if you understood what he said, you would have ruined the entire point of the video. You may now commence with feeling dumb.
