I own their entire discography, grew up with them, and I am so sick of people saying Queen lost it after the seventies. Bands are allowed to try different sounds and Queen were masters of every genre. More importantly, in the late eighties until Freddie's death came three of their best albums: The Miracle, Innuendo, and Made In Heaven. Their sound in the eighties was intentionally changed, but that shows diversity which reflects talent. I love plenty of their eighties stuff and nobody could adapt to changes in style better than Queen. People criticize bands for being too "generic", but when they change to experiment with a new sound they get angry. David Bowie and The Rolling Stones went more poppy in the eighties, too. Lighten up and try to appreciate the talent it takes to make the variety of music they did,9 years ago
