I find his songs during the last year or so of his life, so painful to listen to. His voice changed a lot. He doesn't have that deep richness we are use to hearing. Sounds frail in some ways being higher pitch. To know he was singing these songs, and that he was dying and would never hear their release makes me feel sick to my stomach.
