A keyboard solo is a great idea for this epic song. And the bass line during that solo...Amazing...

Pure eargasm song. When Queen was recording it the song was called African Nights. They changed the title in All God's People when they put in on the album.

In love with this by the time they reached the second harmonic level. So different. So creative. Brian May is a symphony orchestra unto himself.

Dear Youtube, there are problems with this video; first, it has a "dislike" button wich is obviously completely unnecessary and second, it is only showing my views, thank you.

I bought the cassette over 20 years ago. I listened to it constantly while walking around Singapore back in '93.

sorry guys but the F5 above tenor high C is NOT in full chest voice... it's anatomically impossible for a person as tall as freddie to hit that note in full chest voice..

I don't believe Freddie was a religious man at all. He deserves better than to be constantly made out to be a Zoroastrian. The Zoroastrian community of Zanzibar does not acknowledge Freddie as a significant person at all because they condemn his homosexual relationships. Considering the alienation he must have faced from his extended family in Zanzibar, I think it would be nice if we didn't pretend that he subscribed to that (or any) particular branch of bigotry.

Agree wholeheartedly! Don't know much about the Zoroastrian angle, but certainly tons of Christian influence throughout so many of his songs. After all, Freddie's entire schooling was in Catholic schools, so not surprising. I don't know why anyone would dismiss or deny the Christian leanings; some are too intrigued by the Z. aspect of his life that they totally ignore the true facts of his upbringing in the Catholic boarding schools. (See my comment to W.J.) Cheers! :)

Actually many of Freddie's songs have a clear Christian influence: Mad The Swine, Liar, Somebody To Love, etc. Although Zoroastrian, Freddie attended Catholic schools his whole life. You can't spend your formidable yrs there and Not be influenced by wh you're immersed in. Some lines from Liar, for example, come straight fr the Catholic Catechism that we all used, including me. Regardless, Freddie was the most decent, sweetest, kindest, very spiritual, & the most incredible genius who ever lived!
