The Making of 'Good Company'

This is really great. It shows how Brian single handedly created an entire dixieland band with layered guitar tracks. Amazing. Genius.

GOOD COMPANY zaujímavá skladba skupiny QUEEN , ktorej autorom bol Brian May a bola akousi parodiou na starú dixielandovú hudbu 20 rokov, ktorú mal rad jeho otec. Pieseň veľmi osviežila album A Night At The Opera a dokázala, že členovia skupiny sú schopní tvoriť piesne z rôznych hudobných žánrov a preto mal album taký obrovský úspech. V roku 1963 Brian s otcom vyrezal z dreva z krbu zo 19. storočia gitaru, ktorú obohatil množstvom snímačov a namiesto brnkátka používal mincu, čim vytvoril charakteristický gitarový zvuk skupiny Queen.

It would be nice to have the entire A NIGHT AT THE OPERA sessions on CD, if there are any alternate takes or false starts, etc. It was be nice to witness the process.

I'd love to be able to just sit down with the multitracks from this entire album and listen through, hearing the ins and outs of all the songs on there, and especially looking at all of Brian May's guitar parts.  This is intricate as hell.

No juegues con los tontos que te rechazan, Manténte en buena compañía ♪ Dios mio esta canción a veces me hace llorar, que músicos tan excepcionales fueron los cuatro y cuanto se le extraña a Freddie.

Sort of thing Frank Zappa might have imagined, no wonder he dug Brian May.

George Formby influenced a lot of British musicians, George Formby always did a solo on his banjolele at the end of his comic songs. Check out the end of "She's got two of everything - George Formby" min 2. on youtube.

I don't seem to ever grow tired of this. He actually emulated an entire Dixieland jazz band - what? I mean, the arrangement is impressive by itself but then he decided to execute it on a guitar! That's genius. Just genius.

A genius. I'm a huge Brian May fan. Don't get me wrong - I love Queen like no other band - but Brian May is the greatest musician on the face of this Earth.
