The bassist here is Annette Zilinskas, later the lead vocalist of Blood on the Saddle.

Best cover I've heard of this. The backup vocals sound just like the Seeds.

The bassist is/was Michael Steele, quite possibly the hottest-looking redhead I've ever set eyes on.

I was on the UK Mod scene in 1980's, and it's just dawned upon me that probably about the same time I was discovering american garage bands I would also have been dismissing the Bangles as a crappy pop band! I would like to apologise to the band now, this is fantastic and much better than any live act I saw at the time.

Funny watching these early performances and comparing to today's. These gurls still rock. Vicki, Debbi, and Susanna put on one heck of a show. I never got to see or even really hear them while Annette was on bass, but I loved every minute of Michael's performances.

Wow. This brings back memories. I saw this show at UMass, they opened for The English Beat. While they were playing Ranking Roger came up front to dance with the crowd and asked what we thought. First I had heard of them but loved the sound, my GoGos album went to the bottom of the pile. What's the venue here?
