In 1991 we called Protector Death Metal. Of course it contains Thrash metal elements, because they are a German band with huge Thrash heritage which can be found in their music. But I think its not a thrash/death band! They are an old school Death Metal band from the best!!!! This is OLD SCHOOL DEATH METAL.

Those are not blast beats. those are thrash beats. The drumer is hitting the base drum before the snare, just like kreator, and slayer. Blast beats are like the band you mentioned, morbid angel on altars, or sarcofago. These are pure, old-school thrash beats. And yes, i agree, it borders on death metal. Thats why they call it Death/Thrash.

There's such a ridiculous thin subjective line between the most brutal thrash and old school death metal musically, that considering the date of release, it' s scene and that this full gutural growls and blastbeats sound as fucking brutal as Altars of madness to me, I would consider it some of the finest old school death
