In a way it's a sort of shock to see these passionate and talented young men have become middle-aged (tho what else?), but still it's very nice to see them rocking on unabated. Why can't any of the current-generation alt bands play decent lead guitar?

ok, there are different opinions. I'm a Paler from the beginning. I know Trower very well and I was following his footsteps over the Bridge of Sighs. But Hell, I have seen Whitehorn half a dozen times playing with Procol and sorry - I can hear a soul playing, when the Whitehorn-Guitar is singing. He is taking one for the team playing this song but that being said.....Ok fine. Nothing against the man but, shouldn't the guitarist in Procol Harum - the guitarist who is on the stage PLAYING ACROSS FROM GARY be a little bit more than just good???? I admit to being hyper critical when it comes to things Procol but I'm looking for more. The riffs anyone can have, but the soul? well.... The soul is so hard to find.
